The Dual Mission
V.E.T.S. development follows a unique strategy: learn by doing, then do what you’ve learned.
Mission 1: AI Development Learning
We use AI to build V.E.T.S. itself, learning knowledge curation techniques on our own development documentation. 174 AI procedures, 14 minions, and 1,498 RAG documents represent hard-won expertise in making AI actually useful.
Mission 2: Animal Domain Curation
Every technique mastered in Mission 1 becomes a tool for the ultimate goal: building the world’s most comprehensive animal knowledge base. The same RAG pipeline that manages our code documentation will power veterinary knowledge retrieval.
Why this works: Most AI companies build tools and hope someone figures out how to use them. V.E.T.S. builds the tools BY using them. Every AI capability was developed to solve a real problem, tested on real data, and refined through real use.
